CoActive are working with the  Agbrigg and Belle Vue community to create opportunities for people to deeply connect through creative play in art forms such as dance, music, drama, art. We began in August by introducing whimsical characters to engage with all ages in play at the Agbrigg Gala. We develop on this in the run up to Christmas with women’s creative meets, involving dance, food and cultural exchange and by offering creative sessions to Andy’s Mans club.

In February half term we will deliver an immersive creative play scheme to work with young people 8 to 13 yrs. In this week young people will encounter  a new character each day sharing a element of the story and engaging them in making and creative exploration. By the end of the week the space will have transformed  into an environment  to share their story and their performance with family and friends. Stride and Wakefield Theatre groups will join us for a sharing and celebration at the end of the project.
